PHASE TWO – Blow-Drying

Phase Two – August 12, 2020

BLOW-DRYING

This week marks two months of the salon reopening!  We continue to be mindful and cautious of how we are working, and the services that we can provide at this time.  After much consideration, we have decided that blow-drying will resume in the salon.

Thank you to everyone that supported us in our decision to re-open with caution and begin without blow-drying hair.

Because there has been so little information available on COVID-19 we made the decision to err on the side of caution and temporarily omit using blow dryers in the salon. Our plan was, and continues to be to observe the number of cases in BC and on Vancouver Island with the reopening of the province, to be mindful of our clients feedback, and listen to updates from Work Safe BC and our Health Authorities.

We understand that blow-drying is a luxury that many people look forward to when they visit us for their salon services – again, thank you for your support and understanding.

Please note that this could be subject to change in the future. We will keep you in the know.

We want to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the following items so that you are better prepared for your visit:

You are required to wear a mask when you are in the salon.

No visitors during your service i.e., no friends or family accompaniment.

No food in the salon.

No dogs or pets will be permitted (except for Guide Dogs).

The following services are currently not available: beard trims, free bang trims and clean up services, perms, and smoothing treatments.

THINGS THAT WE HAVE DONE TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE

Plexiglass partitions separate each workstation, and the reception desk.

Please, no talking during the shampoo portion of your service.

We have omitted some stylist stations to ensure that there is sufficient room for social distancing when you are in the salon.

Each staff person that has returned to work has completed their Beauty Safe coarse and will adhere to strict sanitation and disinfecting procedures.

We arrive early and stay late to sanitize and disinfect all areas of the salon.

We have Health Canada grade sanitizer and disinfectant at each stylist station for quick access.

ADDITIONAL NOTABLE UPDATES

We are happy to announce that the following stylists returned to work this month: Amy, Sydney, and Shannon.
